Afternoon nap

An original contemporary oil painting on canvas. 3/4” cradling, size 12”x16”. 

The warmth pouring in from the window is only rivaled by the warm, adobe-inspired interior of the room. Two desert plants sit symmetrically in the corners of the room in decorative pots, and a blue-black cat lounges without a care in the world on a striped rug. This piece was conceptualized in the warmer seasons as an expression of love for summer.
